   Robert W. Beattie is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in Banking and Finance.  He obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Delaware Law School of Widener University where he was on the Law Review, Moot Court Honor Society, and a member of the national honor fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. Mr. Beattie is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, New York State Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  He has two children, and has been a life long resident of the Jersey Shore.     

  • Merrimack Mutual Fire Insurance Company v. Zimmerman, (App. Div. 2004) cert. denied 185 N.J. 35 (2005) (Insured mother of adult daughter and son-in-law has insurable interest in fire-damaged residence, and therefore may collect under the insurance policy. ) 
  • Horan v. Reliance Standard Life Insurance Co., 2014 WL 346615 (D. N.J. Jan. 30, 2014) (In ERISA case, Plaintiff stated a cause of action for fiduciary breach relating to life insurance claim - Defendant's motion to dismiss denied in part. ) 
  • Enertron Industries inc. v. Mack, 242 N.J. Super, 83 (App. Div. 1990) (Plaintiff's claims for property damage and lost income against the Spill Fund are subject to arbitration as are the timeliness of the Plaintiff's claims.) 
  • Iadimarco v. Runyon, 190 F.3d 151 (3rd Cir. 1999) (In the reverse discrimination context, Plaintiff did establish a prima facie case of employment discrimination, and that there were genuine issues of material fact as to whether the proffered explanation for not hiring him was a pretext for illegal discrimination.)
